First HR Cloud study in the German-speaking area

In July 2014 the IDC conducted a survey among HR decision-makers together with the Promerit AG. The 190 respondents work in the HR and IT sector in companies with more than 2.500 employees in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The objective of the survey called “HR Cloud solutions in the German-speaking area” was to gain insights into the current dissemination and the planned use of cloud solutions in the HR sector. In addition, the atmosphere in companies was examined by asking for drivers and barriers.

  • Companies work on strategic HR topics and want to implement Talent Management measures.
  • Efficient support of HR processes and first of all Talent Management processes is crucial.
  • Only a modern HR IT strategy will lead to an ideal result.
  • HR Cloud Services reduce the operating expenses for HR IT and IT.
  • Mobile access, modern functionalities and intuitive design guarantee a high level of acceptance among employees and managers.
  • The HR IT world is hybrid: Talent Management processes go into the Cloud – master data and payroll stay on-premise.
  • In order to meet known but as well underestimated challenges, HR and IT have to work closely together.
